Miss Melissa
Miss Melissa has lived and worked in Boulder as a nanny, preschool teacher, and director for well over 20 plus years. Before opening Sunrise in 2011 she obtained her associates degree in early childhood education from Lasell College, and her director's certification from Front Range. Besides the training courses she attends regularly Miss Melissa's vast portfolio includes a level 3 Colorado teaching credential, and she has completed the 48 hour "EQIT" training class. She has two children and believes in giving them and all of her students a strong foundation of self-love and confidence to give them a platform to take risks and develop a life-long passion for learning.
Mr. Nick
Mr. Nick has been in Boulder since 1998. He had worked at ABC Climbing and Colorado Athletic Training School (CATS) with kids for many years. Nick has a bachelors from CU, obtained a director's certificate in early childhood from Front Range in 2016, and has completed the "EQIT" training course. He spends his days at Sunrise and playing with his two children who attend Bear Creek Elementary.
Miss Courtney
Miss Courtney moved to Boulder from Chicago in 2007 with a degree in psychology, a focus on child psychology, and the experience of having worked with kids for 12 years. Courtney has been a preschool teacher and has developed her own art program at her previous school. After teaching she became a social worker helping foster children get placed into stable homes. She enjoys playing with her two children, sculpting, painting, and getting outdoors in beautiful Colorado.
