September 2020 Newsletter

Welcome back to preschool everyone! We’ve had a blast all summer watching the garden grow, running through sprinklers, and what it means to be a good friend and helper. The kids are excited to get back to our regular routine mixing in music and movement, curriculum, and art everyday. Some changes have and will be made due to the virus, and as we meet these challenging times we hope families can help us adapt certain events like Halloween, family picnics, school plays, etc. so we can still provide these extra activities in a safe manner with your input.

Our curriculum theme for September will be pirates. Yarrrr! Ask your children what they’ve learned on pick up and we hope you enjoy all the themed art they’ve been creating and bringing home to you. September 18th will be the family picnic from 4:30-6pm, and of course all family members are welcome. Please come only if you feel comfortable and bring your own blanket, dinner, and dessert to enjoy outside on the school playground. If the weather changes we can always move the event into the gym. If you don’t have a family photo at school please bring one in so that other families can get to know everyone’s names. The Sunrise staff can’t wait to introduce all the new changes the school year brings and feel so lucky we get to spend these precious moments with your family and children.
