October 2017 Newsletter

Your children worked really hard last month to make so much art and learned a lot about some famous artists. The sunrise kiddos started their bi-weekly dance instruction by our very own Miss Dana who will teach an hour long themed class every Wednesday. By now everyone has their individual and group photos taken at school and we’ll be sure to update you to get them when our photographer has finished.

The October curriculum will be “owls, bats, and bears,” and of course, “Halloween.” The city of Boulder open space will visit us this month two times a week to give presentations on each of our animal themes. Halloween parties take place at school on Monday, October 30th and Tuesday, October 31st so please bring your child to school in their costumes those days. There will be a parade and party after and of course parents are welcome to stay and take photos. Please look for the snack, paper goods, and volunteer sign-up sheet in front of the cubby room near the end of the month. Remember now that Fall temperatures have begun to bring your child in warmer clothing with gloves and hat if necessary. October will be a busy month and if you forget anything please don’t hesitate to contact or talk to one of the staff about any questions or concerns.

Cheers,

Misses Melissa, Jennie, Dana, & Mr. Nick
