May 2017 Newsletter

The Sunrise kids did a great job on their plays and songs last month, and they had a blast learning all about fairy tales and nursery rhymes. Our next unit will be on butterflies and ladybugs as we learn about metamorphosis and watch the life cycles of bugs then hatch them in our garden at school.

On May 13th there’s a community cleanup and gardening around the preschool grounds outside at the church if you and your family are available to help from 9-12pm. The school field trip to the Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster will happen on May 22nd at 10-12:45pm. Please let us know if you are available volunteer, drive, and chaperone children while there, and don’t forget to sign and return your child’s permission slips. On Wednesday, May 31st we will have the graduation picnic and Sunrise family gathering at the school playground. Please bring a dessert to share and dinner for your family (look for the dessert sign-up sheet by the Sunrise front door).
