October 2015 Newsletter
These new preschoolers got down to business last month and created some wonderful paintings based on famous female artists, and then made self-portraits!
September 19th was international talk like a pirate day so the kids dressed in costume and looked for booty on the playground.
In October we’ll start our new curriculum about bats, bears, and owls. Some special guest speakers will visit the preschool and talk with the children about the animals we’re learning about so be sure and ask your kids what they learned! The children have yoga at school on the 7th and 21st, and parent's night out happens on the 3rd and 29th of October. Remeber the Halloween parties take place on the 29th and 30th depending on which day(s) your child attends Sunrise so please bring them in their costumes. There's a federal holiday this month for Columbus Day on the 12th and school will be closed. The kids are off to a great start this school year and will have some fun stories, art, and activities to share with you parents before the month ends.
Cheers,
Miss Melissa, Mr. Nick, Miss Courtney, and Miss Emma.
*P.S. Plese remeber to drop off a family photo for our Sunrise community wall at school if you haven't already. Thanks!
