February 2015 Newsletter

Last month we gave a tearful goodbye to Miss Kayla and welcomed our new Sunrise teacher Miss Courtney (check the updated "staff" page).

The children learned a ton about the ocean and worked really hard making a kelp forest and giant hammerhead shark!

We celebrated winter with lots of art work and even got a little sledding in after the snowfall.

The theme for February is Valentine's Day of course and we will be having some parties during the month. There's a sign-up sheet with dates and times in the classroom so please remember to write your name for the pot-luck and or volunteer list sometime soon. Yoga will be on the 4th and 18th, dance will take place the 11th and 25th, and parent's nights out happens on Saturdays of the 14th and 28th. The Sunrise staff and children are so happy to welcome all the new families to the school as spaces fill up in the class. Please remember to bring in a family photo to hang on our wall at the entrance so we can help learn new names and help build new relationships?
